Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering:

About the specialty

The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering specialty focuses on the specialty of artificial intelligence, which is one of the modern specializations in the field of computer engineering and information technology, as artificial intelligence investigates advanced programming methods to carry out tasks or reach conclusions similar to those carried out by humans. The specialization is based on understanding mental processes and methods. Learning and then translating them into equivalent computer operations that increase the computer's ability to solve complex problems, and employing those operations in designing, building, and operating robots.

Architecture and Interior Design

About the department

The Architecture and Interior Design major was established at Zarqa Technical Intermediate College at the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022, the architectural engineering major affiliated with the Architectural, Civil and Environmental Engineering Technology program in public and private colleges is one of the leading and in-demand majors in the local, regional, and global labor market.

In this major, we seek to provide qualitative technical vocational education to students to graduate distinguished and effective students in the design process alongside engineers and specialists in the field of architecture and interior design, where the graduating student is familiar with all aspects of architectural engineering in addition to being familiar with all aspects and techniques of interior design. The structural aspect, building materials technology, the functional and aesthetic aspect, the mechanical and electrical aspect, in addition to many programs that help him with this. This ensures the success and distinction of graduates in practicing the profession, in addition to qualifying them to complete their studies in the bachelor’s program in public and private universities.

The study plan for the Architecture and Interior Design/Architectural, Civil and Environmental Engineering Technology program, to obtain the intermediate university degree, consists of (72) credit hours, distributed as follows:

  • Specialized skills (45) credit hours, including theoretical and practical subjects covering the following knowledge areas:

-        Basics of Building and Construction

-        Manual and Digital Drawing and Design

-        Architectural Culture

-        Field Training

  • General skills (12) credit hours
  • Operating skills (6) credit hours
  • Ancillary sciences (9) credit hours

About the Specialization

Digital Media:

About the specialty

The Digital Media major is an innovative field of study that combines digital media skills, graphic design, and film production, giving students an integrated set of skills and knowledge in the modern media industry. The specialization requires the completion of (72) academic hours, during which the focus is on developing practical and theoretical competencies in several key aspects.

In this major, students learn how to use graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to design and edit images and graphics. In addition, they learn how to edit and produce video using programs such as Premiere and After Effects.

The curriculum also includes courses in news writing and editing, providing students with the journalistic editing skills needed to work in media organizations. They also learn different photography techniques, which enable them to take high-quality photos and videos used in media production.

During their studies, students work on practical projects that simulate real work environments, giving them the opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in real-life contexts. Graduates of this major graduate equipped with the creative and technical capabilities that qualify them to work in a variety of fields such as digital journalism, e-marketing, graphic design, film production, and visual media.

In short, the digital media major provides students with a strong base of diverse skills that suit the needs of the modern market, and opens wide doors for them to a promising career in the world of media and technology.
